I like a steak house called The Capital Grille on E 42nd between Lexington and 3rd Ave. Lunch is around $30 per person without alcohol. Dinner is about $60 per person with alcohol.

You%26#39;re not far from Grand Central Station there (GC is at 42 %26amp; Lexington). There%26#39;s everything from Two Boots pizza (very good), Junior%26#39;s a deli famous for their cheesecake, to the Oyster Bar, a NY institution good for clam chowder, oysters etc. There are also several more upscale restaurants in there like Metrazur and Tropica.

Many of the best steakhouses in the city are within a walk. They include Sparks, the Palm, Wolfang, Smith %26amp; Wollensky (or Wollensky%26#39;s Grill which I prefer).

Osteria Laguna is a decent Italian on the same block as the hotel I think.
