I am due to attend a wedding at Shakespeare Gardens in Central park and would like advise on whether confetti is permitted. Thanks
Central park wedding and confetti
Use bird seed. It%26#39;s better for the park, and you won%26#39;t have to pay anyone to clean it up
Central park wedding and confetti
Hi Grantham
I too am getting wed in Central Park this October, Shakespeare%26#39;s Garden in one of the locations we are considering, it looks beautiful. When is the wedding you are attending.
Q to all - what are the chances of 2 couples wanting the same loaction in CP at the same time on the same day?! Just a small nagging worry!
Thanks
Doxi-Mum, wouldn%26#39;t bird seed hurt?
Cathy
grantham and diva - to assure that your weddings don%26#39;t conflict with others and also to be sure that you are following Central Park decorum, you should correspond with the NYC Dept of Parks and Recreation. Here%26#39;s some information...

Use bubbles! They don%26#39;t hurt and you don%26#39;t have to clean them up. Bubbles look really pretty in pictures too.
Bubbles! Brilliant!!!
When I got married (1976) people were still throwing rice!
I love the idea of bubbles.
I don%26#39;t think tiny bird seed would hurt-- but bubbles are better.
Bubbles can ruin beautiful, expensive wedding dresses and guests%26#39; gowns. Clear it with the bride first.
QB, I was about to post the same response. Bubbles will stain your clothing!
How about not throwing anything?
If you%26#39;re really set on throwing something, what about rose petals?
The info from the company we have booked our wedding thru is - %26#39;The Conservatory Gardens is the only place within Central Park that can be reserved for your wedding. All the other areas are free to use, except where your party size exceeds 20%26#39;
Think I will email NYC Department of Parks %26amp; Recreation just to double check however, will post back their response :o)
Thx all
