Staying in apartment on West 58th between 5th %26amp; 6th Ave.

What%26#39;s good and bad round here just so I am armed with some local info.

How's my location ?

It%26#39;s a great location. You can walk to many of the tourist sites, shopping and Central Park. It is also near subway stations. There is nothing bad about it.

It couldn%26#39;t be much more central. You%26#39;re a block from Central Park. You%26#39;re down the street from the Plaza Hotel (which is now closed and being converted to apartments). Would like to know through which company you found the apartment. The only negative I can think of is it%26#39;s more a businees area rather than a residential area but there are still plenty of places to eat and drink. I had a friend who used to live on that block. The Wyndham Hotel (which has closed or will be closing also to be converted to apartments) is on the block.

Le Pain Quotidienne on 7th %26amp; 58th st for breakfast or lunch.

Whole Foods market inside the Time Warner building at Columbus Circle for stocking your fridge and take away.

Angelos Pizza on west 57 st.

Kennedy%26#39;s Pub on west 57 st.

Walk the length of 57th Street. Classic New York.
