Utsav is just a few blocks away 46th b/w 6th %26amp; 7th. Jewel of India is on the same block as the hotel! Both have great bargain lunch buffets. I%26#39;ve found Utsav expensive for dinner, esp. if you want shrimp.

Good lad!!

valid question, Don%26#39;t think its gonna be the same without my pint of cobra though!

This might help-

I%26#39;m a lassie not a lad!!

I%26#39;ve been to NY a few times and I%26#39;ve yet to find a curry that matches what you can get in the UK. It has got a lot better over the years, but I don%26#39;t bother anymore, especially as there so many great restaurants in NY.

If you want a fix have one before you go and one when you get back.

But, if you have to have one try you might want to try http://www.bricklanecurryhouse.com/

Ooops ! sorry! :op

I actually agree with Grimoor. The Indian here is not as good as the UK. There%26#39;s a newish place called Devi downtown that%26#39;s supposed to be excellent. Midtown, Amma (51st b/w 2nd %26amp; 3rd) is very good. The places I gave you originally are closer to your hotel.

a little further away, but the absolute best indian in the city, i would reccommend Tamarind. It is delicious, a wonderful atmosphere, and portions surprisingly large for both Indian cuisine and New York. Make sure to listen to the specials, and order their award winning fish (you%26#39;ll see it on the menu).

by the way, Tamarind is located on 22nd between Park and Broadway.
