Other Restaurants

My family and I will be visiting soon and we have visited before (family there) and want to know some good restaurants. I looked under the Restaurant list on this site, and was disappointed that so few restaurants listed (even the top 10) had only 1 OR NO user reviews - just mainly where the restaurant is listed in a restaurant book, and reviewed from that aspect.

We love Mings on Monroe, Aladdins on Monroe, House of Poon, but would like some more great food dinner restaurant suggestions, please, from you readers. Please help me to plan family dinners besides the ones I have listed.

Where is the best fish fry? And is it just on Saturday night? Where is the best Italian restaurant ? All need to be medium price range and not too dressy. Thanks for your help!

Fish fry is typically on Friday night. I%26#39;m not a big fish fry lover but Jeremiah%26#39;s on Monroe is popular. Pittsford Seafood Market on Monroe (what is it with Monroe anyway?) has a restaurant next door and their fish is always great so you might try that. There are so many Italian places, you could start an argument over the best one. http://www.therefrigerator.net/ has a comprehensive list with reviews. Personally I like Agatina%26#39;s on Buffalo Rd., and La Trattoria D%26#39;Abruzzo on E. Ridge Rd., but there are plenty more good ones.

Asking for the best fish fry or Italian food in Rochester is a tough call.

Almost every bar, diner, burger joint, and even fancy restaurants claim to have the ';Best Fish Fry in Town';. Most are great - I really don%26#39;t think you will go wrong getting a fish fry anywhere in town. I actually really like the one at Bill Gray%26#39;s - a famous local burger chain with several locations in the area.

As for Italian restaurants, we have one on almost every corner! I really like Prioetti%26#39;s in Webster, Nicks Seabreeze in Irondequiet, Michellina%26#39;s in Henrietta, and Boccacinni%26#39;s in Fairport.

Other great restaurants in town are Oasis on Monroe, Mex on Alexander, The Glengarry Grille in Fairport, and Scotch n Sirloin in Henrietta.
