Mahj's questions part two

Thanks all for the responses to this morning%26#39;s post. Couldn%26#39;t wait to get home from work to read your input.

MaidstoneNic...1)am going back to Travel Inn on 42nd St. and plan to be at hotel by 1 p.m., then sightseeing immediately. 2)we do plan to eat lunch or dinner at Katz. 3) do you recommend pre-booking the Tenement Museum tour and do you or anyone else out there recommend a specific topic? Do these tours sell out? 4) will it be obvious where the knockoffs are sold in Chinatown? 5)Any idea how long touring SoHo would be? We are more window shoppers and gawkers! 6) any advice on tackling the Metroplitan Museum?

broadwaynyc and nywhiz -- great thoughts, thanks much.

I%26#39;m feeling confident with some changes ti the itinerary it will be a great trip (tired feet and all!).

Mahj's questions part two

OK, Mahj, it%26#39;s beginning to sound improbable now rather than impossible!

Let%26#39;s look at Friday and see if we can do it:

First off, forget Times Sq - you%26#39;re going there on Saturday. Also have lunch at Katz and then straight on to the Tenement Museum. I would recommend prebooking but can%26#39;t advise on which tour but I%26#39;m sure someone can. Just keep your ears open in China Town and you%26#39;ll hear the whispers! The problem is that by the time you%26#39;ve purchased your knock-offs, it will be dark and you still want to hit Brooklyn (not to mention Little Italy and SoHo)! I think that I%26#39;m in agreement with whiz that it can%26#39;t be done on Friday afternoon.

Let%26#39;s adopt whiz%26#39;s plan for Friday - Times Sq, Rock Center, 5th Ave and then a show. If you%26#39;re not too tired, you could then do the ESB before it closes.

Saturday I would again follow whiz%26#39;s excellent advice of Brooklyn in the morning although you could walk up Mulberry St after Canal St and see virtually all that%26#39;s left of Little Italy. If you turn left once you get to Spring St you will be in SoHo and can admire the fine architecture in Greene St and the surrounding area.

Sunday is decision day. You%26#39;re not going to be able to do everything so you have to decide Katz and Tenement Museum or Central Park and the Met. Perhaps wait and see what the weather is like. If it%26#39;s sunny, go to the park, if raining, hit Katz.

I honestly think that if you tried to pack any more in, you%26#39;d have a rebellion on your hands!
